ＳＣＣ（桜木クリスチャンセンター)は無宗派の教会です。私たちは、聖書は100％神の言葉であり、そのすべてが正しいと信じています。さらに私たちは、
救いは行動によってえるのではなく、イエスキリストの十字架での死、そして死からの完全な復活によって、私たちの罪の代価が払われた事を信じる信仰によっ
て与えられるものだということも信じています。それから聖書は水のバプテスマ通して私たちの信仰を公に示すこと、そして更に神の聖霊に満たされることも教
えています。
ポール牧師とシェロル夫人と子供たち（13人）は、教会の三階に住み、自宅で学習（ホームスクーリング）をしています。ポール牧師は、牧会していた父の昇
天後、後を継いで牧師に就任してから18年になります。
桜木クリスチャンセンターは、ポール牧師の両親、ジョージ＆
ロイス・ボストロム夫妻が米国から５０年前に宣教師として訪れた後、1978年にボストロム・
ファミリーによって築かれました。
夫妻に儲けられた子供たち五人のうち、三人は今日も掛川近辺で宣教に携わっています。

Sakuragi Christian Center is a loving, family-oriented church, located in Kakegawa City,
Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. Our church is made up of approximately 50
members, from a variety of different backgrounds and countries. The
preaching and worship are in Japanese, with English translation during
the messages. Sunday School classes for adults and children are
bilingual.
SCC is a non-denominational church. We believe that the Bible is
100% the Word of God. We also believe in eternal salvation not by
works, but only by believing in Jesus’ death on the cross and physical
resurrection from the grave, as payment for our sins. The Bible also
teaches water baptism as a public testament of our faith in Jesus Christ,
and of a further experience of being filled with the Holy Spirit.
Pastor Paul and Cheryl Bostrom and their family live above the
church. Their 13 children (10 birth, 3 adopted) attend the church
school, Kakegawa International Christian School (KICSchool) , which also
offers support for homeschool families through Kakegawa Homeschool
Support. Paul has pastored the church for 19 years, since his father, the
previous pastor, passed away. SCC was originally started in 1978 by
George and Lois Bostrom and their family, missionaries from the USA.
They came to Japan over 50 years ago, and now 3 of their 5 children still
live in Japan, all missionaries in nearby cities.
